Sickboy, Give us a bit of history…Why this name, where are you from?
Its just memorable, nothing to do with trainspotting or being ill, theres alot of 4 letter tags out there longer tags can be a pain but this one works for me, besides i usually just sign pieces with a temple icon
We recognise you on the street with your temple. How did you develop this image and why?
I just think that if you have a room full of people that all dress the same and some moron walks in dressed as a red and yellow temple people will generally point stare and laugh but it will proabably still be the highlight of the night and remain in their memory for some time
What message are you trying to pass, if any, when doing graff on the street?
I like the feeling you get when your walking down the street on your own in the morning and your mind is buzzing with ideas, but there arent many people to share them with, i try to keep the vibe and express it when im painting a wall, so generally im trying to keep it all positive, the ideas can manifest themselves as simple images or complex compostitions,
i never draw from a sketch
How many cans do you use in a week? Any special discount available?
I try to use emulsion to fill alot of pieces in so spray paint is used less. the general public will generally be more accepting to you if your holding a bruch rather than the ubiquitous spraycan

Are you in a crew? Working with other artists?
Yes, i work alongside other artists we go under the name "AAGH" this losely translates to "ave a go heroes" and does what it says on the tin
Any particular piece you are proud of (because of the size, location) and why?
Not really, after i have my flick i try not to ponder on it for too long.
Do you work with different materials, experimenting?
Yes when working indoors i use alot of different mediums canvas, wood, resin, spray, print, gloss, glass etc
Where can we see your stuff in 08?
I will be anouncing my solo show in the coming weeks on my site www.thesickboy.com
