Interview with TINHO

What's your background? Art school? Self learner?

I’m a graduate in Fine Arts by Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP), but I am also a self learner in everything I do; I am always looking for new knowledge.







What are your favourite materials to work with?

The mind.







Who influences you the most, any favourite artist(s)?

The street and the people that walk around; I like of loads of artists, I would be unfair to include only a few and not the others.







Best Gallery in the world? and why?

Those that are the public spaces, because they have great and really democratic circulation: it doesn't require tickets at the entrance nor projects to exhibit.







Best City to paint outside? and why?

Sao Paulo, because it is where I was born and where I live.







Beer and Fag or Tea and Biscuit?

Both. It depends on the time and on the company







What are your plans in the near future? Any upcoming exhibitions?

Thinking and producing my next exhibition at Luz station, in Sao Paulo; it's a project of Pinacoteca do Estado de Sao Paulo.
